CareBag, Inc., “Happy Bottoms” Diaper Drive

September 25, 2020

Carebag Inc. is excited to announce our first Diaper Drive of 2020! We are collecting children’s diapers in all sizes from now until November 6, 2020.

Diapers are one of the most expensive ongoing costs for struggling families with young children.  Statistics indicate that 40% of families struggle to make ends meet on a weekly basis during normal times.  Now, add in the financial impact of COVID-19 and it is easy to realize that we have a growing number of families in crisis. Now and in the coming months they are not be able to pay their bills and afford basic needs, like diapers. These families have already begun turning to Carebag for help, and we need your support for our “Happy Bottoms” project.

  • 36% of parents living in poverty routinely run out of diapers for their infants and toddlers

  • Babies who remain in dirty diapers for prolong periods experienced diaper rash, infections and other health problems

  • Diapers cannot be obtained with food stamps. Disposable diapers cost $70.00 to $80.00 per month per baby

  • No state or federal child safety net program allocates dollars specifically for the purchase of diapers

  • Infants require up to 12 diapers per day. Toddlers require approximately 8.

Carebag and the Happy Bottoms Project team is asking the community for diapers, all sizes, disposable or cloth, diaper cream, and baby wipes.  Diapers and related supplies that are received will benefit families in our community.

Happy Bottoms Project is a new venture through CareBag Inc., a 501(C)3 nonprofit.  The mission of Happy Bottoms is to improve the lives of babies, toddlers, the elderly, and parents in our community through diaper distribution, community awareness, and partnerships.

Our drive will also be accessible online due to COVID-19. Please visit our website at www.carebagfl.org for more information, or text iCare to 77222 for drop off locations or to partner with us in our Diaper Drive.

Every Bottom deserves to be Happy!
