Danceworks offers dance classes in a variety of styles, including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tumbling, Aerial Arts, and more.
Registration for the fall 2018 semester will be August 11, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Classes begin August 20th and are held at various times Monday through Saturday.
In addition to weekly classes and exposure to new genres, students perform in two recitals each year in downtown Stuart’s Lyric Theatre.
The studio is home to two student performance and competition companies. Each year they perform in local events, shows and Walt Disney World!
Danceworks also houses professional company Preston Contemporary Dance Theatre. PCDT has performed across the state and nation using dance as a vehicle for social change.
To start the fall semester, Danceworks is excited to announce the arrival of four new instructors!
Alexia Cree-Newman will teach Tap/Jazz Combo and Adult Ballet this year. A PCDT member, Alexia has more than 15 years of experience in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern and Contemporary and has been teaching for more than three years.
Bonnie Justi will take over the Pre-Ballet-Ballet I class after spending last year training to do so, and she has more than nine years of dance experience.
Katie Conboy will instruct Intermediate Hip Hop. Katie has been a student at the studio since she was three, and for the last two years, she assisted the Hip Hop classes and co-created their recital choreography.
Katie’s older sister Kirsten Conboy is a certified yoga instructor, and she’ll hold yoga classes every other Saturday morning at the studio.
Danceworks fosters a close family atmosphere, and parents are always welcome to sit in and watch classes. During the last recital, three generations of a family performed onstage together!
Through an encouraging and supportive environment, Danceworks nurtures confidence, self-esteem and a love of dance in students of all ages!
