Teens Can Earn Community Services Hours at MC Libraries this Summer

Teen Community of Service is a self-paced volunteer program where teens learn about local and national subjects and create projects that give back to our community. The program helps teens earn community service hours. Teens track their progress and hours in Beanstack, and can earn up to 25 hours for the month.

Each Martin County Library* will have kits available for pickup on the below dates and all teens need to do to participate is register (required) at one of the branches. There will be a different topic each month. Topic and dates are as follows:

• Oceans and Lagoons (Registration now open)
  Pickup: Friday, June 7, 2024 - 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  Hobe Sound Clerk of the Court - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (closed for lunch 12-1 PM)

    Saturday, June 29th: 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

• Animal Welfare (Registration opens Saturday, June 15th at 10 AM)
  Pick up: Friday, June 12, 2024 - 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  Hobe Sound Clerk of the Court - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (closed for lunch 12-1 PM)

Teens can register for this program at www.martin.fl.us/Libraries beginning on the dates stated above. Registered students will be able to pick up their Community Service Kits on the date first stated and for three days thereafter. If kit is not picked up within the 3-day holding period, it will be offered to kids on the wait list.

*Note: while the Hobe Sound Library is closed for renovations, the Community of Service events will take place at the Hobe Sound Clerk of the Court office - 11730 SE Federal Highway (in the Island Crossing Shopping Plaza).
