YMCA to Host Free Spring Literacy Event, 3/12

New World Reading Initiative - Reading Shapes Who We Are

The YMCA of the Treasure Coast, in partnership with New World Reading Initiative, is hosting a FREE spring break literacy event, "Reading Shapes Who We Are," on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Richard C. Gesinger, Sr, Branch. The event is for families and will include a free book for each child and dinner for the whole family.  

The YMCA of the TC has partnered with New Worlds Reading Initiative help all of our Youth reach their full Potential. The resources and activities will help connect the students and families to Florida's free at-home literacy program designed to help VPK through 5th grade students in Florida bolster literacy skills, build reading confidence and foster a lifelong love of reading.

This event is free to the public and you do not need to be part of a program or a member of the YMCA to attend. Students enrolled in a YMCA program can attend without a parent but they will still need to register.
