Athena is a beautiful, 5-year-old female dog who would love to find her forever home. She sits quietly in the kennel and enjoys the company of all visitors. This sweet girl knows her basic commands and would love an active family to call her own.
Meet LaPew - Our Macaroni Kitty of the Week
LaPew arrived at the HSTC in July after her beloved owner passed away. This sweet, 10-year-old feline lived with other cats and a large dog in her previous home, and they all got along great. It’s taken LaPew some time to adjust to the shelter life, so she will need a potential family to go slow and give her time to warm up. LaPew loves head rubs and to snuggle with the people she trusts.

These pets and many more are available for adoption through the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. Locations to adopt are the HSTC Main Shelter at 4100 SW Leighton Farm Avenue in Palm City; the HSTC Thrift Store Central at 2585 SE Federal Highway in Stuart; and the HSTC Thrift Store North at 1099 NW 21st Street in Stuart. Normal adoption hours are Monday through Saturday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The adoption fee is waived for any senior pet 7 years and older.
