Exciting Happenings Coming Up at the Children's Museum Treasure Coast

The Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast is pleased to share some exciting events for the community to enjoy this May and June.

On Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM, the Museum will host "Meet the Author Storytime" with author Jennifer Penello. Ms. Penello will be reading from her book Planteo and Fungiette. After storytime children can make their own mini books. The event is free with paid museum admission.


On Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the Museum will host a Family Wellness Fair. The public is invited to join TCM for a fun day getting healthy! This inaugural event promotes healthy bodies, healthy minds, and healthy families. We will have hands-on activities, vendors, food trucks, and a schedule of short class sessions

This is discounted admission day and admission is only $6 for all visitors and FREE for members.


On Friday, June 2nd beginning at 6:00 PM, TCM will host a fun class just for Adults!  Grab your friends and head over to the museum for a Charcuterie Class. This small class size allows for each adult to make their own personalized charcuterie board. This healthy class will increase your skills for your next event. Cost is $25 and includes all supplies. Advance registration is required and event is nonrefundable based on the pre-purchase of food and supplies. CLICK HERE to register. Can no longer make it? Send someone in your place.


6/7/23: NOTE - THE KIDS MINI COOK CAMP HAS BEEN CANCELED

On Thursday, June 8th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the kids can enjoy a Kids Mini Cook Camp. During this one day mini camp with a cooking theme and smaller class size, each child will make their own dish of the same recipe, using quality and organic ingredients. Working with Healthy Steps Kids Cook chef, Denise Bradley, children will learn basic kitchen safety and basic knife skills. Children will also learn how to read food labels and contamination procedures. Chef Denise Bradley can accommodate for food allergies and sensitivities. Cost is $75 and includes all supplies. The Mini Camp is nonrefundable based on the pre-purchase of food and supplies. Child can no longer make it? Send someone in his or her place. Participants must be 6 years old and older. Parents will be required to sign a Children's Museum waiver and Health Hands Cooking waiver at drop off for child to participate.


On Monday, June 12th from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the Bubble Truck will be here to help kids kickoff Summer with some fun bubbles! This event is included with General Admission and will be outside in the field across from the Museum. Parents be sure to bring your child's swimsuit and a towel! Please note  that The Children's Museum will close at 3:00 PM on this day for the event.


"Sensory Friendly Day" will continue in May and June. Sensory Friendly Day, typically held the 2nd Sunday of the month from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, is an exclusive, family-fun day where children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Sensory Processing Disorder can enjoy an interactive experience at the Museum in a relaxing and comfortable environment specifically set with their needs in mind. Registration is not required. Admission is just $1 and capacity is set 75 guests. If capacity is met, entry will be closed until it falls below the max threshold. In addition to the above, guests of the Museum can continue to enjoy the below recurring events:

  • Wacky Wednesday Workshops: 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM - enjoy a new, themed workshop every week. Free with paid general admission.

  • Fridays in May, Toddler Story Time: 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM - settle down for a cute little story read by one of the museum staff. Free with paid general admission.

The Children's Museum of the Treasure Coast is located at 1707 NE Indian River Drive, Jensen Beach, 34957. It is open Tuesday - Saturday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
