By Kelly Bennin, Superstars Sports Camp, Sponsored Content May 4, 2023

We are excited to host SUPERSTARS SPORTS CAMP at various venues in Martin County including Justin Wilson Memorial Park, Palm City; Halpatiokee Regional Park in Stuart; and the Village Club & Preserve in Palm City. Featuring a wide array of recreational sports activities for children, ages 5-12, this week-long camp will keep your kids active and engaged.

Just a few of the activities your camper may experience: Basketball, “Beach” Volleyball / Newcomb, Gaga Ball, Obstacle Course, Relay Races, Soccer, Water Play, and Wiffle Ball. Campers will rotate in age-appropriate groups throughout various sports on different days. Crafts, board games and other outdoor games/activities will also be available. It is our goal for everyone to have fun through recreational sports and activity. NOTE: At Village Club & Preserve, there is a swimming pool that will be used one to two days of the week.

Fun Fridays will also include an old-school field day competition along with a pizza party and prizes.

Other Helpful Information

  • What to Bring - Campers should bring: lunch in an insulated bag, a substantial snack, a water bottle that keeps drinks cold, and a drink for lunch. We will have clean, fresh water available for refills, and take water breaks throughout the day.

  • Sunblock should be applied before camp. Please have your camper(s) bring additional sunblock that they are able to reapply themselves.

  • Attire - Camp t-shirt, shorts, sneakers (no sandals, flip flops or Croc-style shoes). Hat and/or sunglasses are suggested. A string bag or backpack would be helpful to keep all items together.
    • PLEASE NOTE: We will provide a camp t-shirt when you get to camp the first day. They are brightly colored and have our logo on them. These T-shirts MUST be worn to camp every day. You will have the opportunity to buy additional shirts at sign-in on the first day, if you wish. They are $20 each. Cash preferred but we will take Venmo.

  • Electronics Policy - If a camper chooses to bring a personal cell phone or watch to camp (which is NOT recommended), it must be marked with the camper’s name, and kept in the camper’s bag during ALL activities. As we offer a full day of sports and activities to keep busy, it is not necessary to bring other devices; please leave other electronics at home. Superstars Sports Camp is NOT responsible for any loss or damage to a camper’s personal items of any kind. Campers and campers’ parents will always have access to the camp director and/or authorized personnel for emergency calls.

  • Staff - Our staff is friendly, responsive and understanding. Counselors and junior counselors are chosen for their leadership, sports knowledge and athleticism, maturity, and true desire to help your campers have a great time this week being a SUPERSTAR!

  • Weather note - At both Justin Wilson and Halpatiokee Parks, in the case of short bouts of rain during the day, we do have a pavilion in which to take cover. In the case of extended rain or severe lightning / storms, we will need parents/guardians to pick up campers. In the unlikely event that this happens, we will reach out via text. At Village Club & Preserve, there is an indoor facility.
