Children's books are an even bigger bargain than usual at the Friends' Book Depot during a half-price sale that runs through August 14, 2022.
The Book Depot typically prices children's books -- for babies, tots, elementary and middle grades -- from about 25 cents to $2, so the half-price sale will make for even greater savings. Furthermore, the sale also coincides with the last few weeks of Florida's sales tax holiday on books labeled for children 12 and younger.
The store, which features thousands of gently used books, CDs and DVDs for all ages, is located in Building H-15 at the B&A Flea Market in Stuart. Book Depot hours are 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Wednesdays and Fridays; 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.
Please remember that purchases can be made by cash or check only, as the Book Depot is not yet equipped to handle credit cards.

FRIENDS AND THE LIBRARY
When you make a purchase at the Friends' Book Depot, it goes toward vital programs, materials and technology at each of Martin County's six public libraries.
The Book Depot is the primary fund-raising activity of the Friends of the Martin County Library System, which also operates Bonnie's Books at the Blake Library and other branch library sales.
Each year, the library system makes a request from the Friends and over the past 10 years, the Friends has provided more than $1 million in funding! The Friends recently approved the library system's $100,000 request for funding for the 2022-23 year.
Following are some of the programs the Friends help to support -- past present and future. Perhaps some of your favorite things!
- Programs for children such as Story Time, Preschool Art, Paws to Read, Story Express Kits, Family Place, etc. All of these have a focus on bringing families together to read and learn.
