Join the Martin County Parks and Recreation Department for the 2022 Pat Mark Rio Skate Jam on Saturday, February 19, 2022. The competition begins at 6:00 PM with warm-ups scheduled to start at 5:00 PM.
While popular among teenagers, the Skate Jam draws skaters of all ages, and is open to competitors 5 years of age and older, including adults. Skaters are invited to select one of two categories – beginner or advanced, and will complete in their respective age brackets:
- 5 to 9 years old
- 10 to 15 years old
- 16 and up
Registration is now available online at www.martin.fl.us/SkateParks. The registration fee is $10 for early registration and $15 on the day of the event. Spots are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. This competition is open for skateboarding only.
Competitors are required to wear helmets when skating and full protection gear is recommended. Participating skaters must hold a current Martin County Parks and Recreation skate card or skate day pass. The cost for an annual skate card is $20 or $5 for a day pass. Skate cards and day passes can be purchased online at www.martin.fl.us/SkateParks.
FREE to spectators, the 2022 Pat Mark Rio Skate Jam boasts a day full of fun competition sure to wow the fans and activities including a live DJ, food trucks and more!
