Helping Pets Find a Forever Home

By Humane Society of the Treasure Coast June 17, 2021

Meet Pop Pop - Our Macaroni Dog of the Week

Pop Pop has been in our care since mid-April and is very anxious being here in the shelter. He is super cute and about 3.5 years old. Pop Pop came into our care heartworm positive and would love to recover in a foster (or foster-to-adopt) home. He can be possessive over his toys and does not like to share them with his people friends at times. He also is a more independent guy who prefers attention when he wants it not when you want it. Pop Pop could use some basic training but does know a few tricks such as “sit.” He loves to go outside and toss around his toys and he will pay fetch for a bit before he decides to not share the toy anymore.

Meet Calissa - Our Macaroni Kitty of the Week

Sweet Calissa has been with us since September of 2020 when she arrived as a transfer in from The Humane Society of Naples. They had too many cats, and we had some space for a few extras at the time. Calissa is almost 2 years old and she is super sweet. She did spend some time in a foster home and they said she was the ideal house guest. Calissa is playful and not much of a talker – she is a very quiet lady.
