Martin County Parks and Recreation FREE After School Programs

Martin County Parks and Recreation offers FREE after school programs in three convenient locations for children ages five and older (children age five must be enrolled in kindergarten) residing in Martin County and enrolled in an Elementary School, Middle School, or High School located within Martin County . The MC Parks and Recreation school programs are proudly funded by the Children's Services Council of Martin County.

All the staff at the program locations are level two background screened by the Department of Children and Families and CPR and First Aid trained and certified. Homework assistance, outdoor playtime, learning and educational opportunities, and other programs are offered daily.

Locations offering the free after school program are as follows:

  • G.A.A.P Program (Golden Gate Alternative After School Program)
    Cassidy Center in Lamar Howard Park, Stuart

Program Hours:

  • Regular School Days: 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM 
  • Early Release Days: 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Non School Days: 
    • 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM  - J.A.S.E.
    • 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM -  All other programs
  • Non-school days = summer, holidays, spring break, winter break, any other week days off from school except county holidays.
