Celebrate 25 Years with MC Fire Rescue at a Free Family-Fun Event

Martin County has been recognized as a leader for fire and EMS, not only locally, but throughout the state and nation. Join us Saturday, October 19, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Public Safety Complex, located at 800 SE Monterey Road in Stuart to see how we've advanced from a volunteer department to a full-service fire agency!

What did Martin County Fire Rescue look like 25 years ago? Experience history as you walk through the Martin County Fire Rescue Heritage Room, see the 9/11 World Trade Center Steel Artifact and explore Martin County fire apparatus, including the LifeStar helicopter, Hazmat equipment, Engine and Rescue 16, Ladder 33, Brush Truck 22, Tanker 18, Ocean Rescue Jet Ski and Gator and the historic fire engine.

Interested in our public safety partners? Visit with staff from the Florida Forestry Service, St. Lucie County Fire District, Stuart Police and Fire departments, U.S. Coast Guard, Martin County Sheriff's Office, Florida Wildlife Commission and many more!

Schedule of Events

  • 10:00 AM - Children's Area Open: Combat challenge, bucket brigade, bunker drills with firefighters Emergency Operations Center & 911 Dispatch Center Tours through 3:00 PM

  • 10:50 AM - Opening Ceremony: Chief Schobel, Board Chair Ed Ciampi

  • 11:30 AM - Burn Box/Live Fire Demonstration

  • 12:00 PM - Extrication Demonstration
