Library's Annual 'Season's Readings' Starts November 5th

Inspires Community to Give the Gift of Literacy

October 18, 2019

The Friends of the Martin County Library System, Inc. and the Martin County Library System are delighted to host the annual Season's Readings program with a goal of delivering 300 books to 3-to-5 year-olds enrolled in a Martin County program with the Early Learning Coalition.

Beginning November 5, 2019, patrons are invited to visit their local library and select a paper snowman bearing a child's first name and age. Using a provided recommended book list, patrons can purchase an age-appropriate, non-religious, hardcover book from their preferred retailer. The book and paper snowman should be returned to the library by December 5th, at which point volunteers will wrap the books and present them to the children.
