Grab your picnic blankets and lawn chairs for a family garden viewing of academy award nominee "The Breadwinner" hosted by Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Treasure Coast.
The FREE, family friendly event will take place in the back garden of the center on Friday, June 28, 2019. Families are invited to come out and enjoy a potluck dinner at 6:30 PM. Bring a dish to share! The film will start at dusk (around 8:00 PM).
The description of this academy award nominated movie is as follows:
The Breadwinner - Parvana is an 11-year-old girl who lives under Taliban rule in Afghanistan in 2001. After the wrongful arrest of her father, Parvana cuts off her hair and dresses like a boy to support her family. Working alongside a friend, she soon discovers a new world of freedom and danger. Drawing strength from the fantastical stories she invents, Parvana embarks on an epic quest to find her father and reunite her family. Rated PG-13, 94 minutes.
