No matter whether you’re 6, 16 or 60, drive a tricycle, hawg or Mercedes …. the sight of bright, shiny, climbable trucks bring smiles to our faces and fun to our day.
On April 6, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, you can once again be a kid or a kid-at-heart at Touch-a-Truck, the annual fundraiser that benefits the Early Learning Coalition of Indian River, Martin and Okeechobee counties and helps promote its vision for Building Blocks for Educational Success.
The interactive event allows kids the opportunity to climb on, learn about and discover their favorite big trucks and vehicles including police cars, cement trucks, tow trucks and fire-trucks, among others. Vehicle drivers and operators will be on hand to tell the public about their vehicles and answer any questions.
Trucks currently confirmed to be on site include a gas tanker from Brenner Oil, a bulldozer and front end loader from Mancil’s, a fire-truck; a police car, the Truly Nolan mouse limo; a dump truck and low boy from Ranger Construction, a garbage truck from Waste management and a tug from Stuart Jet Center just to name a few. Home Depot of Stuart and several additional vendors will be on hand with crafts and activities for the children.
The sponsor list includes:
- Mancil’s Tractor Service, Inc.
- Geico
- KW Wrecker Service, Inc.
- Truly Nolan
- Macaroni Kid
- Children’s Dentistry of Stuart, P.A.
- Armellini On-Site Storage
The fun takes place at the Martin County Fairgrounds, Dixie Highway, Stuart. Admission is $5 per person and food trucks will be on- site.
