Engineering for Kids Camp at 76 Golf World

June 29, 2018

Join Engineering For Kids at 76 Golf World as we learn about all the Engineering that goes into designing a fun park. The first half of the day will be spent in the classroom and the 2nd half will be spent applying what we learned in the actual fun park!

  • Day 1- Mechanical Engineering - Students will learn all about race cars, design them, build them, then go outside and race them!

  • Day 2- Marine Engineering - Come learn all about buoyancy and how weight distribution can alter the dynamics of a boat. Then design, test, and build your very own boat. After that we will go outside and test the principles learned in class while riding the bumper boats.

  • Day 3- Electrical Engineering - We will learn all about magnets and how they can be used to lift things off the ground. We will explore how to reduce friction on a vehicle as we create our very own Maglev. Then they will take that knowledge and compare and contrast it to how the bumper cars operate.

  • Day 4- Mechanical Engineering - Students will design their own Marble maze. They will form a hypothesis, then adjust certain factors such as slope and range to get their marble to its destination. Then they will go outside and apply those same principles in a round of mini golf.

  • Day 5- Mechanical Engineering - Students will learn how to program and code their own online game! Then they will take that knowledge to the arcade and apply those same IF-THEN statements as they play arcade games.
