Jensen Beach Pineapple Festival opens on Friday the 13th

November 5, 2015
The hype for this year's Jensen Beach Pineapple Festival is well underway. Country newcomer Chase Bryant and A&E Reality TV Star and King of Hick-Hop Big Smo are coming to the festival organizers announced...and so are lower ticket prices.

This marks the Pineapple Festival's 28th year and the annual event has become one of the most highly regarded music events on the Treasure Coast. It all takes place the second weekend of November 13, 14 and 15, 2015 in the streets of historic downtown Jensen Beach.

"Last year, for only the second time in festival history, rainy weather dampened some of the concerts," said Rose who is Executive Director of the Jensen Beach Chamber of Commerce. "I believe the festival will have better luck this year especially since the festival's opening night falls on Friday the 13th!"

Festival gates open and music begins at 6:00 PM on Friday, November 13, 2015 and ends at 11:00 PM. Saturday, November 14th hours are 12 noon until 11:00 PM. Sunday, November 15th hours are 12 noon until 8:00 PM. The festival location is historic downtown Jensen Beach on Ricou Terrace and Pineapple Avenue.

This year's lower ticket prices include advanced and general admission, V.I.P. and preferred seating. Discounted advance general admission tickets will be available for $10 at all Seacoast Bank locations through Thursday, November 12th. General Admission tickets at the  gate are now $15. Children 12-years and under are admitted free and students 13-17 years of age can get into the festival for only $5 until 5:00 PM both Saturday and Sunday. The $55 V.I.P. premium ticket includes festival and STS Aviation hospitality area admission, premium concert seating, complimentary drink ticket, light appetizers, parking lot pass and V.I.P. restrooms. The $25 Preferred Seating ticket guarantees you an assigned seat for the specified concert of your choice and includes festival admission. V.I.P. and preferred seating tickets are only available for purchase online at www.pineapplefestival.info.

The festival has a rich history of attracting world-class performances by famous names such as Marie Osmond, Justin Moore, Chubby Checker, .38 Special, Kellie Pickler, Lee Greenwood, The Pointer Sisters and Three Dog Night. This year is no exception. Headlining the Pineapple Festival will be Chase Bryant and Big Smo. Chase Bryant, whose hit single "Take it on Back" hit airwaves last year, will open the festival on Friday night. Opening for Big Smo on Saturday night will be Haden Carpenter & Band. Carpenter is a friend of Big Smo and appears frequently on Big Smo's A&E Reality TV show.

Festival founder Ron Rose said, “Those who attend the Pineapple Festival for the very first time always express how impressed they are and our goal for lowering ticket prices is exactly what you might think it would be - to get more people to be impressed."

The 3-day event is also packed full with performances by some of the regions hottest bands: The Inverted, Relapse Band, Fresh Catch, The Ellameno Beat, A Faint Remembrance, J Buzzi, 33 Years Band, Austin Binner, Ed Gomez, Alex Horton, Levi Chante, Maggie Baugh Band, Warren Silvers Band, Public Sounds Collective, The Greyjoys, Cody and The Qualified, Bryce Allyn Band, and BitterSweetHeart. Returning this year are the always popular Crazy Comedy Magic Show and The Wade Henry Juggling & Unicycle Show.

Festival goers look forward to the heart pounding sound of the colorful Junkanoo parade and sweet island music by one of the country's most famous bands, The Brilanders. Residents from Jensen Beach sister city Gregory Town, Eleuthera present an authentic Bahamian Market that showcases island crafts.

The festival lights-up with spinning, twisting and turning midway rides operated by locally owned Doolan’s spectacular "Big Fun Amusements" midway.  Several new thrill rides will be introduced and many popular rides will return. On Saturday and again on Sunday, from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, midway lovers can ride all rides non-stop for only $20 each day.

The Festival Arts, Crafts & Collectibles Show will be returning to Jensen Beach Boulevard the duration of the festival. Local collectors and art vendors will show off their wares along sidewalks and in adjacent parking lots.
