So what makes this festival so unique? Event organizers say they "serve the freshest seafood and locally caught fish when possible and the majority of it is prepared by Port Salerno's fishermen and their families, friends and many dedicated volunteers." Now that's something seafood lovers can sink their teeth into!

KIDS FUN ZONE - This year’s Kids Fun Zone features a number of physical fitness activities to promote the Club’s commitment to Healthy Habits. New to the Kids Fun Zone this year is a performance area showcasing youth-appropriate entertainment. Scheduled to perform are Panyard Express, One Small Voice, Yazmine Travieso and the Fabulous Feet Dance Troupe.

About the Port Salerno Seafood Festival:
The Festival is hosted each year by The Port Salerno Commercial Fishing Dock Authority, Inc., a not for profit formed July 13, 2004.
The humble beginnings of the Seafood Festival started as a fish fry party at the docks in Port Salerno.
In 2006, while Port Salerno was in the midst of redevelopment, a small group gathered to take the dock party to the next level in an effort to bring positive awareness of the local commercial fishing industry and support to their community.
That first Seafood Festival was a resounding success and attendance has grown steadily ever since. Now over 35,000 attend the event each year, enjoying the only ‘on the waterfront’ Seafood Festival on the east coast of Florida from Fort Lauderdale to Jacksonville!
Every year we renew our commitment to the community by working with local organizations to share the proceeds of this event. In 2011, proceeds were distributed to the Port Salerno Annual Christmas Jamboree, Port Salerno Elementary, Sheriff’s Youth Ranch, Treasure Coast Waterway Pecks Lake Reef Dive Cleanup, Keep Martin Beautiful Coastal Cleanup and Martin Memorial Life Savers Foundation Gombay Bash. In 2012, we garnered support for a community food drive and donated 1,400-lbs of food to the Salvation Army of Martin County and Love & Hope in Action.
