The annual Taste of Little Italy promises big authentic taste in its 8th year and to be held January 23rd through January 25th at Tradition’s Town Square in Port St. Lucie. Although “food” is one of the first things that come to mind at any Italian festival, The Taste of Little Italy promises that and so much more for the thousands of expected visitors this year. Italian food vendors, Italian novelties, live music all weekend, wine tasting seminars, jewelry, art, festival rides, zany food eating contests and children’s activities will all be featured during this three-day celebration. The Opening Ceremony with will take place on the main stage at 7:30 p.m. to officially open and bless the event.

On Saturday evening at 8:00 p.m. Michael Amante "The Peoples Tenor" takes the main stage. A celebrated American singer and stage actor, Amante’s voice and presence has captivated audiences and critics around the world. A repertoire that ranges from Broadway, American Standards, Gospel and Jazz to the soaring notes of High Opera, Amante is a must-see at this year’s Taste.

Known as America’s premier Italian-American show band, Ray Massa’s Eurorhythms will perform on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. The band performs Italian and Italian-American music at celebrations across the United States and Italy.

ABOUT THE TASTE OF LITTLE ITALY

The Taste of Little Italy was established in 2008 to create an experience rich in Italian culture that celebrates the contributions of great Italian through food, music, art and tradition for the entire family to enjoy. Today, the organizers of both the Taste of Little Italy (Port St. Lucie, FL) and the Feast of Little Italy (Jupiter, FL) remain dedicated to the importance of family and community and ever mindful of the hardships endured by Italian ancestors that migrated to this great country. The Taste and the Feast along with their community commitment has resulted in over $100,000 in direct and in-kind contributions to local charitable organizations, including Little Smiles, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Palm Beach Food Bank, Big Dog Ranch Rescue and many more. Major corporations have made long-term commitments to the Taste as part of their brand awareness strategies, including Tradition Florida, Banfi, Bolla, Garber Buick, and Garber GMC. Each year, families gather and pass through the gates of the Taste of Little Italy to share old traditions and create new memories. For more information, please visit www.tasteoflittleitaly.net.
