Boys & Girls Club of Martin County Brings Nashville To Stuart, April 1

Songwriters in the Round on April 1st

March 14, 2023

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County presents the First Annual Songwriters in the Round, a country-theme music event. This fundraising dinner and dancing extravaganza will make you feel like you are in the hit television series Yellowstone. This event is the first of its kind on the Treasure Coast and will be Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Colab Farms in Stuart at 6:00 PM.

Set among the lush tropical garden at Colab Gardens, guests will have cocktail hour amidst a rock waterfall and koi pond as local musician Kyle Arnold performs. Tantalizing appetizers will be made and served by the students from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County Culinary Program with their famous food truck, "Fork in the Road." This program launched in 2021 and is the centerpiece of their workforce development and career readiness portfolio for teens, which includes Culinary Training and Certification Programs. In addition, there will be a silent auction, V.I.P. meet and greet, and photo opportunities.

Then, dust off your boots and get ready for a night in Nashville at Colab Gardens. "Songwriters in the Round" is a unique, intimate musical experience that offers a "behind-the-music" concert that spotlights some of the best of Nashville's singer/songwriters, including Nashville's two-time Grammy-nominated independent songwriter & recording artist Jamie Floyd. She has written songs recorded by Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Ronnie Dunn, Brian McKnight, Ty Herndon, Ashley Monroe, Madi Diaz, Cassadee Pope, and Kellie Picker to name a few. Rob Hatch, from Cross City, Florida, moved to Nashville in 2001. He achieved his first #1 song, "If Heaven Wasn't So far Away," recorded by Justin Moore in 2008. In 2014, Hatch would be named the S.E.S.A.C. Songwriter of the year, fueled by his 2 number 1 songs, "Goodnight, Kiss" by Randy Houser and "I Don't Dance" by Lee Brice, who was awarded the 2014 A.C.M.'s Single Of The Year and has since gone double platinum. Local favorite singer, songwriter, and musician Tom Jackson was a finalist for the Texaco Country Showdown 2011 and N.B.C.'s The Voice.

While enjoying this incredible acoustic performance and listening to stories behind favorite country music songs, guests will savor The Chef's Table 3 course, a farm-to-table gourmet dinner featuring their signature selections.

Following dinner, the night will explode with the Tom Jackson Band as they play today's country hits as guests boot scoot and boogie the night away under the twinkle lights.

Funds raised will support the mission of the Boys and Girls Clubs to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Their goal is to provide award-winning programs designed to guide and inspire young people ages 6-18 to learn, grow and mature en route to becoming successful adults.
