Have you ever watched the TV show The Amazing Race and thought to yourself....."I would really like do that?" Well, the YMCA of the Treasure Coast has put together a fun, local spin on this and they are inviting community members to join them for the 2nd Annual Amazing Race Martin County!
The event will take place on Saturday, October 09, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM starting at the YMCA of the Treasure Coast's location at 1700 SE Monterey Road in Stuart (34996).
The Amazing Race Martin County is not a running race; it is a timed challenge whereby teams of four (4) travel around Martin County to locally owned businesses and complete challenges. Teams will check in at the YMCA and receive the rules and swag bag. The clock will start immediately after check in and the teams will complete their first challenge. Teams receive the clue to their next location upon completion of each challenge. Teams must complete all challenges and make it to the final location by 4:00 PM.
Once at the final location teams members will enjoy heavy appetizers, drinks and awards.
While the Amazing Race Martin County is definitely family friendly, we were informed that teams from last year's event were all adults and it was VERY competitive! Of course, that doesn't mean kids can't be part of a team, but if you have a competitive spirit and are in it to win it, you may want to think about who is on your team.
The entry fee for a team of four (4) is $200 and includes one team swag bag plus one heavy appetizers ticket and two drink/cocktail tickets per team member.
