Breath in fall with interactive hayrides, prescribed fire demonstrations, swamp buggy tours, and great memories at the 13th annual Fire Fest. Funded by The Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park and local community sponsors, you and your family will enjoy a day of fun games, educational activities, Smokey Bear’s Birthday Celebration, and much more!

Fire Fest is a popular annual event that brings over 3,000 visitors to our beautiful park every year. Fire Fest welcomes the community to enjoy the park’s rich history and learn about the essential role of prescribed fire in protecting Florida’s native wildlife, plants, and rich natural communities.

Everyone can test their skills on a 65’ Radical Run Inflatable Obstacle Course! We have something for the little kids too! Toddlers can crawl, climb, slide, and bounce in the Jungle Animal Bounce House. Both inflatables require a $5 wristband and are staffed by professional safety attendants.

No need to go out to eat; National State Park Concessions has you covered! From great burgers and hot dogs, to salads and lighter fare, everyone in the family will be pleased with what there is to eat. All food purchased always goes into helping improve our beautiful park.

Once the sun has set, the evening heats up with our nighttime fire demonstration, campfire with roasted marshmallows, our very own Haunted Spooky Trail, and a Not So Spooky trail for your smaller ghosts and goblins to enjoy.

All proceeds benefit The Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park, a not for profit 501c3 organization. The Friends provide essential funding to the park, which they do not attain from the state, to help maintain vehicles, provide general maintenance, provide staff and volunteer necessities, provide materials for school programs, and new fun exciting events for YOU our community to enjoy. The funding of the Friends of Jonathan Dickinson State Park relies solely on our community support, and wonderful sponsors to keep making the park not only beautiful and fun for the whole family to enjoy.
