The holidays are right around the corner and Tykes & Teens will kick off the season with the festive and fun 7th Annual Tykes & Teens Festival of Trees. The week long event begins November 17, and features a range of activities designed to provide opportunities for the entire community to participate in the fun. From an elegant ticketed Cocktail Party and Auction, to free breakfast and photos with Santa, there is a chance for everyone to experience the magic.
All events take place at the Courthouse Cultural Center at 80 East Ocean Boulevard in Stuart. The Presenting Sponsor for this year’s event is Family Private Care, and Espinal, Stern & Whittington of Morgan Stanley are the Honorary Chairs. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the public may visit the Festival to view the fully decorated trees and wreaths and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win their favorite. Tree themes include “A Frozen Christmas” which is sure to excite little girls and fans of the popular movie, while “Holiday Couture” will entice those with a passion for fashion. Friday will feature a free outdoor concert by the Hidden Oaks Middle School Chorus, Bella Voce.
The Festival will also feature a Downtown Merchant Holiday Tree and Wreath Tour, where raffle tickets will be available for a selection of donated holiday trees and wreaths at the following downtown Stuart merchants: Gumbo Limbo Coastal Chic, The Gafford, Kilwin’s Chocolate & Ice Cream, Harbor Wear, Rare Earth Gallery, and Spoto’s Oyster Bar.
All proceeds from the event benefit direct services at Tykes & Teens, an award winning Palm City based non-profit that provides general mental health counseling, specialized services for child victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse, drug and alcohol prevention and treatment, and more. Tickets for the Judges Reception and VIP Cocktail Party are available at www.tykesandteens.org.
