Martin County High Sweeps #12 Championship

Martin County High School’s boys and girls bowling teams are heading for States after winning the District 12 championships at Saint Lucie Lanes in Port St. Lucie.

The Tigers female team defeated Fort Pierce Central 3-0 in the championship match for their 5th consecutive district title.

Martin County’s boys clinched their 5th district title since 2008 with 2 consecutive wins against St. Lucie West Centennial in the finals.

The top 2 teams and top 2 individual bowlers not on qualifying teams advance to the Florida High School State Championships, set for Nov. 5-6 at Boardwalk Bowl, Orlando.

Defending District Champion Centennial’s boys will make their 2nd consecutive trip to States. Fort Pierce Central’s women advance to States for their 1st time.

Lincoln Park Academy’s Andrew Conte won the boys individual championship after rolling a 776 series, including a perfect 300 in the 2nd game. Treasure Coast’s Kenny Garcia was the second individual state qualifier after rolling a 666 series.

The girls individual qualifiers are Sebring’s Adrianna Stacy, rolling a 694 series, and South Fork’s Jordan Wiegers, with a 628 series.
