Bathtub Reef Beach unguarded; swim/bathe at own risk

October 31, 2014
Recent weather conditions have eroded Bathtub Reef Beach, resulting in Martin County Fire Rescue needing to remove the lifeguard stand from the shoreline. Effective today, Bathtub Reef Beach will not be guarded until shoreline conditions improve. Signage at the beach reads, "No Lifeguard On-duty."

At this time, the beach will remain open to the public. Swimmers and bathers are reminded to use caution when at an unguarded beach.
