Has your youth or civic group been involved in or created a new eco-friendly project or program Do you work for a company or government agency that has developed a new technology that conserves water or reduces energy?
Each year, the non-profit organization, Keep Martin Beautiful (KMB), hosts the Environmental Stewardship Awards as a way to recognize and reward notable efforts within the community that promote environmental stewardship and innovation. KMB is currently seeking nominations for individuals, businesses, civic and nonprofit groups, and government agencies in Martin County for the 2015 Environmental Stewardship Awards. The Awards Ceremony will take place on Feb. 4, 2015 at Piper’s Landing Yacht & Country Club in Palm City.
“We work with so many volunteers and groups throughout the year who participate in litter removal, recycling programs and community cleanups, as well as beautification and revitalization efforts. But we are reaching out to a wider audience to make sure anyone in Martin County who is helping to improve our environment has an opportunity to be nominated and recognized,” said Jim Dragseth, KMB Board of Director’s president. “There is no other awards ceremony in our community that acknowledges these individuals and organizations for their efforts and the important work they do.”
