October 17, 2014

It's beginning to feel a lot like fall! We were almost in shock this morning when we stepped outside to bring MiniMac to school and felt .....a little chill? Mini even ran back in the house to grab the hoodie she got as part of her school uniform this year. Okay, so maybe it wasn't exactly sweater weather, but the lower temperatures and humidity sure did feel great!

We have an over-packed issue this week. Your family is sure to love the many terrific events taking place around Martin County in the days ahead and we wanted to make sure and spotlight as many as we could. That said, here's some of what you'll find in this week's issue: the Martin County Parks & Recreation Teen Program is hosting a free outdoor movie at Charlie Leighton Park tonight. The movie being shown is "The Haunted Mansion." The Children's Museum is hosting their annual trick or treating event on 10/24 and Stuart Main Street and the Downtown Business Association is hosting the very popular Hobgoblins on Main Street featuring the 16th Annual Hobgoblin Parade on 10/25. The Stuart Air Show flies into town 10/31 - 11/2 and they will have special Halloween festivities to kick off the show Halloween evening.

We're still accepting resume's for a sales assistant/assistant editor (which will hopefully lead to a partnership) and we invite Martin County businesses to participate in the upcoming 2014 Holiday Gift & Shopping Guide.

Don't forget our regular features follow the calendar listings so be sure to scroll down to the bottom of the page to see this week's of upcoming walks/runs, Macaroni Dad's column, and of course, our Kids Eat Free (or Cheap) listings, which was updated a few days ago.

That's all for now...until next time, have a fantastic weekend and a wonderful week ahead.
