Since the Stuart Macaroni Kid family is growing, I wanted to make sure that everyone is aware of some basic features on our website. These features ensure that you stay up-to-date and organized.
1. What's in the weekly newsletter: Each newsletter will start off with a general "Welcome" followed by articles covering a variety of subjects. Articles may feature local events, giveaways, "Macaroni Reads" with the Martin County Library System, "Making a Difference in Martin County" highlighting local non-profits and businesses, and our many guides.
2. "My Macaroni" is a feature that allows you to create a customized, condensed list of all the "can't miss" events. After each event listing you'll see the phrase "add to My Macaroni" underneath it. Simply click on the "+" sign to add it. Don't worry if you click it by mistake, a "-" will appear and you can click on that to delete it from your list. Now, once you've looked at all the events you're interested in, return to our Stuart homepage. There, you will see a pink icon in the upper-left hand side that says "My Macaroni." Click on that icon and your very own customized list of events will appear. From here you have the option to make it into a PDF format for easy printing! Isn't that fantastic!! Print it, hang it on the fridge, on your kids cork-board, leave it for your nanny, grandparent or babysitter.....the options are endless!
3. "Calendar" this is another way you can view the month at a glance. Each week you'll recceive a "weekly" list of events, however you can always look ahead on the calendar. Simply click on the word "Calendar" at the top of the page. Here you'll see the month, click on "read more" for a specific day and you'll see all the events for that day. You also have the option to "add to My Macaroni" OR add to "Google Calendar" to ensure you don't miss a thing! Looking at the calendar may be a better format for you or you may just like to plan week by week; either way the choice is up to you!
4. "Submit An Event" Is a special feature that allows YOU to submit information about upcoming events, special classes, fundrasiers, etc. Simply fill out the form and click "submit." All submissions are e-mailed to me for final reveiw and will be placed in our claendar. So Submit-away by clicking HERE.
5. "Biz Directory" Here you'll find local businesses that support all aspects of raising a family in Martin County. From local pre-schools, art studios, gyms and more! Businesses are always being added, so make sure you check back often to see what new business has received the "Macaroni Kid Seal of Approval."
6. Facebook: Take a quick second and "Like" our Facebbok page HERE. There are daily posts, updates and reminders of local events. We also share LOTS of material from surronding businesses that we think pertain to local families. So stay in touch and "Like" away if you see something of interest.
