Meet Maurice- Our Macaroni Pet the Week

No automatic alt text available.

Maurice is a 1 year old male guinea pig who has been at the shelter since the end of July! He is a striking, friendly, chunky little guinea pig. He originally came in with a brother, but due to the stress of the shelter they started beating up on each other and had to be separated. Maurice’s brother has since been adopted, leaving this cutie to find a new home all on his own. He is one of 40 critters currently in HSTC care – including 3 ferrets! See them all online at hsct1.org or at the main shelter.

Queen Turnip has been patiently waiting since July to become the queen of your home. She is currently residing at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast Central Thrift Store location at 2585 SE Federal Hwy in Stuart. She is a large, sweet, mellow lady. She would prefer to be a pampered diva in your home and requests no other pets in her kingdom. Queen Turnip enjoys binge watching Netflix and having you brush her coat to a luxurious shine.

The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast (HSTC), 4100 SW Leighton Farm Avenue, Palm City, has these and other animals available for adoption Monday through Saturday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Wednesday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sunday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

For more information, please call 772-223-8822 ext. 3242 or go to: www.hstc1.org to see all of our animals available for adoption.

The adoption fee is waived for any senior pet 7 years and older.

The mission of the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast is to assure a better life for companion animals by providing shelter, finding loving homes and promoting respect for their place in our lives.

Once you have narrowed your search, come and meet with one of our Adoption Counselors at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast or at one of our off-site adoption locations.  (You must be 18 years of age to adopt an animal from HSTC. If you are under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by an adult to visit the shelter).  You will then go through an interview process when all of your adoption options are discussed.  HSTC makes every effort to make the best pet match with your family.
