Meet Mrs. Potato - Our Macaroni Dog the Week

While Ernie (pictured below) has the distinction of being HSTC’s longest resident cat, the title of longest resident dog goes to Mrs. Potato! This lovable couch potato has been in our care since March! She is extremely laid-back, gets along with adult cats, and adores people. She is a bit picky about her dog friends and would prefer to be the only puppy princess in your life. If this lovely lady sounds like the perfect pup for you, please give us a call at 722-223-8822 to arrange a meeting!

Meet Ernie - Our Macaroni Cat of the Week

Ernie came to the Humane Society of the Treasure coast on November 11, 2015, as a stray. He has been patiently waiting for his forever family to come adopt him for over a year now. Ernie has spent one of every holiday with us here at HSTC (even a leap day!), and while he's had a great time, he'd really love to spend the rest of his holidays in his very own forever home.

This special needs kitty needs a very special family to adopt him. Ernie has had seizures that are triggered by stressful events, especially traveling in a carrier. He is otherwise a normal and wonderful cat who would love to share his love with you. He's also a great candidate for leash training! Stop by the main shelter today to see if Ernie is the right cat for you!

The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast (HSTC), 4100 SW Leighton Farm Avenue, Palm City, has these and other animals available for adoption Monday through Saturday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM; Wednesday 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Sunday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

For more information, please call 772-223-8822 ext. 3242 or go to: www.hstc1.org to see all of our animals available for adoption.

The adoption fee is waived for any senior pet 7 years and older.

Tell your friends that the guest room is taken—foster a pet; save a life. Help us help more pets by caring for those in need in your own home. Contact Emily Recco, erecco@hstc1.org, 772-223-8822, to apply.

Please consider adopting the wonderful animals available at the HSTC...you may just find the love of your life!

Over the years more than 100,000 animals have received care through HSTC's programs and services. HSTC has received consecutive 4-star ratings from Charity Navigator. The mission of the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast is to assure a better life for companion animals by providing shelter, finding loving homes and promoting respect for their place in our lives.

Once you have narrowed your search, come and meet with one of our Adoption Counselors at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast or at one of our off-site adoption locations.  (You must be 18 years of age to adopt an animal from HSTC. If you are under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by an adult to visit the shelter).  You will then go through an interview process when all of your adoption options are discussed.  HSTC makes every effort to make the best pet match with your family.
