Last Days to Visit the Stuart Festival of Trees

December 2, 2016
Downtown Stuart’s Festival of Trees and Lights has become a holiday tradition for thousands of local residents. Now in its 9th year, the Festival is the premier fundraiser for Martin County based non-profit Tykes & Teens, which has provided low cost and free mental health services to more than 25,000 children and families since 1996.

This year’s event is being held at Flagler Place, 201 SW Flagler Avenue. The festival, which concludes on Saturday, December 3rd, is free and open to the public. Hours of operation are 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM on Friday and 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM on Saturday. The Festival features more than 75 themed Christmas trees, wreaths and holiday displays that have been decorated and donated by local designers, artists, businesses and civic groups. It is free to visit and view the display; tickets will be available for $5.00 each for a chance to win your favorite.

On Saturday, December 3rd, the Festival will host free breakfast and photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus from 8:30 AM -10:30 PM. This popular annual event is Tykes and Teens’ gift to the community in appreciation of the support shown to the non-profit throughout the year.

Lead sponsors for the event include Stuart News/TCPalm, Florida Power & Light, and Two Men and a Truck. Special event sponsors include Harbor Community Bank, Espinal, Stern & Whittington, Bart’s Blue Star Foundation, Martin Health System, Sandhill Cove Retirement Living and Rick Carroll Insurance Agency.

Tykes & Teens is dedicated to strengthening local families and preventing suicide, substance use and other dangerous behaviors by ensuring that all children have access to high quality mental health services, regardless of financial status.
