Note from the Publisher

August 27, 2015
We hope you and your kiddos survived back-to-school week and are settling into your school-year routine with ease.

After being away for the AH-MAZ-ING Macaroni Kid Publisher Silver Daisy Boondoggle at Hawks Cay Resort in Duck Key this past weekend (and into Monday!), I'm feeling...refreshed, invigorated, renewed....yes, all of those things - but also a bit pressed for time in trying to get out this week's edition. The short work week coupled with trying to get back into the school day routine, has put this Macaroni Mama a little -- no, make that way behind the eight ball this week. Time off is awesome, and much needed, but oh, how we sometimes suffer when it's time to get back to reality!

Speaking of reality....I am very sad to announce that our dear Assistant Editor and Account Manager, Janet Landwehr, has decided to step away from her position here at Macaroni Kid. Janet has been my right-hand lady for almost a year and MacDad and I will miss her very much. Janet is a homeschool mom and will be teaching with a homeschool co-op. She is also an independent consultant with SimplyFun, so if you're looking to bring family game night fun (and educational play) into your home, please visit Janet's SimplyFun Website or like her SimplyFun Page on Facebook and let her show you how wonderful the Power of Play can be for your family. We thank Janet for all her help and ask that you join us in wishing her the best of luck wherever her path may lead.

With Janet's leaving, we'll begin the search for a new account manager. If you know anyone with outside sales experience who might be interested in working with us, please have him or her drop me a line at amandap@macaronikid.com.

That's about all for now! I wish you all a fantastic weekend and wonderful week ahead.
