The 6th Annual "Mapping the Middle: A Guide to All Things Tween" will be held at the IRSC Wolf High Technology Center in Stuart on October 3, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The annual event hosted by Tykes & Teens is free and provides parents of middle school age children with valuable information about how to help tweens navigate the difficult years between elementary and high school.

Expert presenters will include Keynote Speaker Dr. Steven Berman, Ph.D., an award winning Research Psychologist and Developmental Psychology Professor from the University of Central Florida. Dr. Berman will speak about tween and teen identity formation.

Additional topics will include the connection between physical and mental health, and drug and alcohol prevention in the tween years.

Tweens can attend the event with their parent(s), and will participate in self esteem enhancing art therapy projects and prevention games while parents attend the interactive seminars. Food will be provided for all attendees at no cost.

The event is hosted by Tykes & Teens and sponsored by United Way of Martin County, Character Counts, The Children’s Services Council of Martin County, CORE, The Martin County Sherriff’s Department and the Martin County School District.

Pre registration is required, and the first 75 to register will be entered to win a Go Pro camera. For more information or to register, call Dr. Agnieszka Marshall at 772-220-3439.
